Geri X and Jeremiah Nelson hit The Green Room Thursday

Two Wisconsin favorites are hitting The Green Room, 911 Indiana Ave, Thursday night — Bulgarian Born singer songwriter Geri X and Madison-based singer songwriter Jeremiah Nelson.

The show is set to kick of @ 9 p.m.

Classically trained on piano and guitar, Geri X has an interesting, emotional songwriting style that has been described as equal parts pleasure and pain. In 2006, the St. Petersburg, Fla.-based artist won Best Singer Song- Writer of Tampa Bay.

With songs ranging from amplified rants to whispery pop songs Jeremiah Nelson has been touring in support of his full-length release, "Take Me Down the Interstate,” a collection of songs he recorded in a small Madison warehouse.

He has received praise from critics, including Tom Laskin of Madison’s “Isthmus” describing Nelson’s music as “A bittersweet slice of back-porch folk-rock.”
