Literacy Council tutor training Nov. 11 and 16

The Literacy Council Project of the Family Resource Center of Sheboygan County will conduct training for new adult literacy tutors from 5:30 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 11, and Monday, Nov. 16.

Literacy Council tutors help adult students gain the literacy skills they need to achieve their individual goals, such as getting a job or helping their child with homework.

Schedules are flexible and no prior experience is needed.

The council has partnered with Wisconsin Literacy for its 1,200 Tutors in 12 Weeks campaign. The Literacy Council will receive funds from Wisconsin Literacy based on the number of new volunteer tutors recruited and trained through Dec. 1.

To register or for more information, call (920) 457-1888 or e-mail frcliteracy@excel.net.
